Happy New Year to all my readers! So here we are, starting the new year and a new decade. I thought I would start the year as I mean to go on and actually write a blog post! Last year my posts were seriously lacking but I told you why in this post.
Blogging and New Patterns
Well, I will be posting more regularly and will be creating more sewing content for you all. So what will I be doing this year? Apart from blogging more about my sewing makes I am working on a few new patterns. The Clovelly cap pattern has been really popular and I will be releasing the Woodicott waistcoat, Torrington Tie pack and Meldon flat cap (as seen on the Sewing Quarter) very soon. It was sad to see the Sewing Quarter vanish from our TV’s at the end of last year. Did you know you can catch up with all the designers on their Facebook page.
The Silverton shirt pattern and Guild work jacket will be along soon along with some cool trousers.
Tailoring workshop dates
I have now added new dates for 2020 for anyone interested in coming to my studio for a 1 or 2 day tailoring course. These 1-2-1 sessions were really popular last year and a lot of fun to teach. I have already started taking booking for this year but spaces sell out fast so if you want a day or two with me check out the dates and book now.
I will also be setting up a sewing retreat for later in the year so watch this space for an update.
Finally, I will be taking to Youtube again this year and producing more sewing related videos. I want to create a complete beginners guide (multiple videos), pattern drafting techniques, couture techniques as a start and anything else you want to see. If you have an idea of a sewing video then please do leave a comment below.
Wishing you all a peaceful and happy 2020 and until next time…….Happy Sewing
